- Create and install the foundational content management system using WordPress.
– This includes establishing your basic color palette and a fundamental layout template for your website as a child theme, preserving the integrity of the parent theme for future updates. - Gather content from you to develop your website’s front page (Landing Page).
– Create a “Contact Us” section featuring an interactive Google Map.
– Develop a section for Instagram and social media links that appears on all pages.
– Set up legal and terms pages using content you provide (I can assist with basic templates).
– Create and customize both your main and secondary menus.
– Perform regular backups.
Online Shop Creation
- Create and install your online shop section, fully integrated with WordPress.
– Synchronize your basic color palette with the main template layout for your online shop within your CMS.
– Establish your first three product/service categories.
– Create product pages within those categories.
– Integrate your shop with an online payment partner (I recommend PayFast), ensuring you supply all legally required documentation.
– Develop a shipping strategy incorporating collection and courier options based on your requirements.
– Integrate your shop with a supplier interface to facilitate brand and supplier purchase orders.
– If needed, create a user category strategy (e.g., normal user vs. reseller portal).
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Create and implement a basic starter SEO strategy.
– This initial strategy will need regular updates from you, or I am available at an hourly/task-based rate for assistance.
– Create a sitemap and submit it to Google and Bing.
– Optimize basic pages for up to two keywords submitted to Google.
– Provide a comprehensive (free) statistic counter for data and traffic analysis (with a paid version available) and monthly reports.
Training and Management
- Teach you how to manage your own site.
– This will include setting up an administrator login, granting you access to the entire website structure. This access will be available after initial training on shop setup and content editing, followed by sign-off, at which point you will take responsibility for managing your own site’s content.
